Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & KYC Policy

Last Updated: October 23, 2026

1. Our Compliance Philosophy

Fx Heritage operates a non-custodial, account-free cryptocurrency exchange. While we prioritize user privacy and friction-free swaps, we are firmly committed to preventing our platform from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illicit activities. To achieve this, we implement automated, risk-based AML (Anti-Money Laundering) protocols.

2. Automated Risk Scoring

Despite not requiring user registration, all transactions processed through Fx Heritage and our liquidity partners are subject to real-time automated blockchain analysis. Our systems screen sending and receiving wallet addresses against global blacklists, sanctioned entities lists (e.g., OFAC), and known illicit sources (such as darknet markets, ransomware groups, and stolen fund trackers).

3. Targeted KYC Procedures (When Triggered)

The vast majority of our users will never undergo a KYC (Know Your Customer) check. However, if a transaction is flagged by our automated risk-scoring system as highly suspicious, the exchange will be automatically paused.

In such rare cases, Fx Heritage reserves the right to freeze the funds temporarily and require the user to complete a targeted KYC procedure before the transaction can be completed or refunded. This procedure may require the submission of:

  • A high-quality photo of a government-issued ID.
  • A live selfie holding the ID.
  • Proof of source of funds for the transaction in question.

4. Sanctioned & Prohibited Jurisdictions

Fx Heritage strictly prohibits the use of its platform by individuals or entities located in, residing in, or citizens of comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions. We actively block IP addresses and wallet interactions associated with regions restricted by the United Nations, the US Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and the European Union.

5. Law Enforcement Cooperation

Fx Heritage fully complies with international law. We will cooperate with valid legal requests and subpoenas from authorized law enforcement agencies. If legally compelled, we will share any available transaction metadata (including IP addresses, transaction hashes, and email addresses) to assist in ongoing criminal investigations.

6. Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to refuse service, reject transactions, and return funds (minus network fees) if a user refuses to comply with a triggered KYC request, or if we determine that a transaction poses an unacceptable compliance risk to our platform.
